11th International Workshop on Polymer Reaction Engineering was held by the DECHEMA (Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) from May 21st to 24th in Hamburg, Germany. Prof. Bo-Geng Li, dean of the Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering, was invited as one member of the Scientific Committee. Prof. Wen-Jun Wang and Prof. Yingwu Luo from the Key Laboratory were also invited and gave lectures respectively. Prof. Wang gave a plenary lecture titled “Model-based monomer feeding strategies on tailoring copolymer composition distribution and topology via semi-batch RAFT copolymerization”, and the title of Prof. Luo’s report is “High performance and functional porous polymer via RAFT crosslinking polymerization”.
International Workshop on Polymer Reaction Engineering is hosted by the DECHEMA. It is an international academic grand gathering on polymer reaction engineering every three years. All the famous researchers in the field of international polymer reaction engineering have attended this conference. The purpose is to discuss the progress in the technology and the concept of new science or practicability around polymer reaction engineering, a scientific and economic subject.
