Prof. Tao Xie attended the American Chemical Society (ACS) fall meeting (Sept 2013) held in Indianapolis and gave an invited talk with the title of “Shape memory polymer: fundamentals and applications”. In his talk, he overviewed the recent progresses in the understanding of the scientific principle of shape memory polymers, discovery of new shape memory effects, and exploration of new applications. His talk received positive attentions from both academic and industrial attendees.
