Research field

The group is engaged in research of polymerization and polymer engineering for many years. The main research interests of the group are 1) Optical, electrical, magnetic functional polymer, stealth and antibacterial polymer material, 2) Synthesis and self-assembly of block polymers, hyperbranched polymers and dendrimers, 3) Preparation of nanomaterials and nanopolymer coating, 4) Study of novel catalysts for olefin polymerization, 5) Adhesive, radar absorbing and electro-magnetic shielding functional coating, leather additive. The group have published more than 200 papers in the journals such as Chemical Reviews (2010 impact factor is 33.033), Prog. Polym. Sci. (2010 impact factor is 22.870), Angewandte Chemie (2010 impact factor is 12.730), J. Phys. Chem. B, Macromolecules, Nanotechnology and so on. The group has more than 20 issued patents. We have good international cooperation relationships with the groups in the top universities in the world such as Professor Cross's group of Yale University, Professor Shea's group of University of California, Irvine, Professor Bose's of University of Rhode Island, Professor Grohmann's group of Technische Universitaet Berlin, Professor Gai's group of University of York, Professor Sven's group of Lund University.

3.     Study on novel ferrocene-based polymers and their application in hydrogen storage materials and burning-rate catalysts (Project of Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province)

4.     Synthesis of block polyolefins and their applications (Project of Science and Technology Program of Zhejiang Province)

5.     Study on preparation, property and application of electronic responsive gels (Project of Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province)
