Research field

Our work is at the interface of chemical engineering and polymer materials. Our efforts focus on engineering polymerization process and polymer products for the industrial purposes. Our research interests involve the polymerization process and engineering of chloro/fluoro-olefins, polymerization process and kinetics in homogenous and heterogeneous systems, bio-based/biodegradable polymers, fluoro/silicone functional polymer materials, etc.

Research Interest

Polymerization engineering and technology of chloro/fluoro-olefins
1) Polymerization reaction and process of chloro/fluoro-bearing monomers, especially VCM, VDC, TFE, and VDF
2) Reaction Kinetics, process simulation, on-line monitor and control of suspension polymerization of VCM
3) Structure and property of chloro/fluoro-bearing polymers
 
Reaction kinetics, structure/property control in homogenous and heterogeneous polymerization systems
1) Kinetic study and simulation on heterogeneous polymerization of aqueous monomer and organic/inorganic hybrid systems.
