Research field

Our group is interested in the design of multifunctional polymer materials. The work involves many aspects of polymer science & engineering including: polymer design and synthesis as guided strongly by polymer physics principles; unconventional polymer processing technologies; and macroscopic characterization of polymer properties. Our ultimate goals are to: achieve unique (in some cases, unprecedented) macroscopic properties that could open up new and exciting applications; advance the state of art in the fundamental understanding of polymer structure-property correlation.

 

Research Interest

  1. Multi-functional polymer material,shape memory polymer,liquid crystalline elastomers, smart bio-polymers,biomimetic polymer systems;

  2. Polymer network design,structure and property correlation;

  3. Anisotropic polymer particles.
